Giving Away Stuff

I like to have contests. Occasionally I'll give away a copy of my work, other times it might be goofy stuff.

The past two years I've run a Summer Reading Contest. As a kid I loved the summer reading programs at my library. I can win prizes for reading books? I'm there!

As an adult, I wished there were something similar, so I decided to run my own with a little twist. For every book someone read, I donated a dollar to a charity for libraries.

In 2007, a total of fifty-one books were read, or $52, which was sent to the Kiowa County Libray Relief Fund. In 2008, the total rose to $100. That year the beneficiary was the Yo Puedo Leer project by Building New Hope.

At the moment, no contest is being held. Check back soon, or tune in to my blog for future contest announcements.
